CleanGredients® is a project of GreenBlue® and is being developed through a multi-stakeholder coalition of participants from government entities, environmental organizations, industry associations, cleaning product formulators and distributors, and chemical manufacturers and suppliers, working to shift the direction of industrial and institutional (I&I) cleaning product development toward products that are benign with respect to human and ecological health and safety. Initial funding and support for CleanGredients® was generously provided by the U.S. EPA DfE Program, which continues to collaborate closely with GreenBlue® to advance the project. CleanGredients® participants grew from approximately 150 individuals interested in an earlier initiative called the Unified Green Cleaning Alliance (UGCA) to approximately 600 today. Project participants support CleanGredients® by engaging on the Steering Committee, on the various Technical Advisory Committees, or as Project Associates.
