Surfactants have been a key ingredient in the household and personal products industry for decades, all the while ensuring that formulas get skin, hair, countertops and clothing clean. Now, formulators and consumers are asking if those surfactants themselves are “clean.” That is, are they sustainable? Renewable? Green?
